The Karadolex Galaxy is a vast, populated expanse featuring numerous livable worlds, diverse species, and various factions, each with its own territory. Ships travel through interdimensional rifts, enabling faster-than-light travel.

The story picks up ten years after a long, devastating war between humans, the Seven Worlds of Rhyus, and the Vorcons of the Vorcon Empire. This war encompassed many worlds and resulted in billions of deaths. The Vorcon Empire had been waging war and conquering nearby worlds for years. As the Vorcon threat grew, factions across the Karadolex galaxy pleaded for help from the Seven Worlds of Rhyus. Responding to the crisis, the Seven Worlds deployed their military force, the Rhyus Defense Fleet (RDF), leading to a protracted 20-year conflict that ultimately ended in a peace treaty.

Garen Rivers, a general for the RDF, hailed as a hero for his strategy and tactics during the war, commanded the RDF Battle Cruiser, The Riftkin. He protested the peace treaty, believing the Vorcons would rebuild and wage war again. The newly appointed Council of Seven, determined to end the war, dismissed Garen's concerns. Publicly ridiculed, he suddenly found himself alone. Many did not want to associate with him due to his public stance, even though many agreed with him. Standing alone and stripped of his command, Garen resigned and retreated to the remote world of Chiex to live a simple life in the wilderness near a small Camerian settlement.

Garen's peace is shattered when his old rival, Vorcon Caul Malocktus, threatens the Camerian settlement. Forced to flee, Garen returns to Rhyus, the capital of the Seven Worlds, where his mentor requests his leadership on a mission. Garen must take a stealth ship into Vorcon territory to assess the threat posed by a new Vorcon weapon.

Reuniting with old friends and facing former enemies, Garen discovers that much has changed. He learns that there are more threats to the Seven Worlds than just the Vorcon Empire.

*now available on all retailers* Amber How do you politely refuse when the only guy to star in any of your dirty fantasies has just offered to put you up for the foreseeable future and your brother's just accepted like you were in fact still thirteen and couldn't make decisions for yourself? You don't. And, you end up with a roommate who wears a very good elegant mask over the rough and tumble, bad boy core I remember far too well. Only, it's ten years later and I'm even nerdier than I used to be. It's ten years later and I couldn't look worse. It's ten years later and I can't keep one guy. It's ten years later and my brother still teases me mercilessly in front of him. It's ten years later and Kit somehow looks even better than the guy I spent my formative years crushing on. Except, there might just be a smouldering heat in Kit's eyes that suggests he's not quite as out of my league as I thought. Just maybe, this geek is about to get a whole lot of chaos. Kit When I find out about my best mate's little sister's situation, the offer is out of my mouth before I can stop it; Hawk's like a brother to me even if Amber's never looked twice at me. I could never tell if she was scared of me or hated me. But the deal is done. She's going to bring her bedraggled self upstairs to my penthouse and live with me for as long as she needs. I see the pain she hides away, I see the lack of confidence despite how smart she is, how good. If there's something I've learned, it's that confidence makes all the difference. So, it becomes my mission to help Amber find her confidence. But I find more than confidence in her and suddenly I'm seeing my best mate's little sister completely differently. Except, there might be something in the way she smiles at me that gives me hope I'm not as far out of her league as I thought. It might just be time that this chaos gets a little geek.

"Those aliens are not my concern, the Earth and her populations are. Now, Callisto of the Scout Regiment to Salutem, as a citizen of this planet and a soldier under my command-" "I stopped being a soldier a long time ago. And those aliens have done nothing to you, you didn't even know they existed until I told you about them. I joined this mission not because I was ordered to, but because I wanted to carve my name in history. But I will not mark my namesake as a murderer of the very first species we have found that is on par with human intelligence! If my legacy is to be the protector of those you refuse to acknowledge, then so be it." The room hissed and flowed with whispers and gossip between the different board members, like a waterfall being heard through thick earmuffs. The only voice to be clearly heard was Director Striker himself. "You are rooting for a lost cause, soldier. It is the manifest destiny of us humans to reach out and touch the stars. And if the only way to touch those stars is to sacrifice a few savages, then that is what we must do." Callisto felt her anger towards a man she once admired swell in her chest and wash through her veins with a burning fire. He was proposing mass genocide simply because he wanted what belonged to them. The wheel of history turns, but nothing is ever new it seemed. "Have you read a history book in your life, Director Striker? Manifest destiny is used a mere few pages before a genocide. It's not a motivation, it's an excuse." ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Fair warning: this is my very first original story so please be kind to my baby, she is a lifelong passion and a labor of love. •••COMPLETED••• •Please do not copy or post anywhere outside of these pages.

Daion Echoes Through Transglass

36 parts Complete

Surviving Daions were absorbed harmoniously into Coalition populations. That's what Coalition history recorded. In reality plague survivors were abused, ostracized, and lately their descendants were disappearing - relatively unnoticed - from the sectors where they'd been assigned residence. Right now war is whispering through every sector as political tensions rise between Coalition's Central Worlds and the Isolated Radicals. Half the galaxy away, seeking resources under the lie of peaceful exploration, Dockland is the oldest scanner ship in the Coalition fleet and has the long abandoned Daion Central World listed as one of their possible next assignments. As leadership splinters into the highest ranks of the Coalition government, the events unfolding in the Daion sector have the potential to change the course set by history and possibly restore what was written off as a lost culture ... or see Dockland and its crew erased from having ever existed at all. CONTENT WARNING: a large-scale terror attack is described, cultural repression is a theme, there is violence and resulting injuries described, a bit of flirting, kissing and romance occurs, and the war/battle mentality of some characters comes up. I'll flag the sections when posting that describe the large-scale terror attack and any with violence / resulting injuries.
