Dad, 
I don't know what to write. You know better than anyone I'm not good with words, maybe that why I enlisted instead of going to college. Or maybe it was because you always talk about your days overseas. I don't know. What I do know is that I love you and that you're always been my role model. For as long as I can remember I've wanted to be as you. 
I remember when I was younger and followed you everywhere. How the other guys always laughed and made fun of us. "There goes Alaric with his shadow". 
My dream have always been to be like you. 
I'm sorry that I must break my promise. That I won't be coming home, that I wont ever come back.
