This story is about an orphaned girl named Delaney. She and her malamute, Petrie. Are fighting depression as well as bullying. The bullying gets worse so she moves. Going to a new school brought new darkness. As the bullying follow.
She finds a group of boys who become best friends with her, but darkness was her only true friend as she started to fall deeper. The boys tried to help.
