Thrack Durimsson has a good life; when he isn't fighting in the militia against invaders, he's digging tunnels and drinking with his mates. However, after he and several other dwarven warriors are cursed with magical powers, a new threat comes from within the caves that he has bled and killed to protect. Now, one by one the inquisition led by the ruthless Mordin are hunting down and publicly executing every dwarven wizard.
In order to survive, Thrack must leave behind the only life he's ever known, escape from the underground kingdom, and navigate his way through foreign lands to find a cure that may not even exist before he is caught and killed.
