Carmen was a former deity of beauty. Carmen's necklace that was given to him by his grandmother started to glow when in contact with the sea waves. 

a whirlpool of fish surrounded the glowing body of Carmen and when they stopped, Carmen legs grew scales and became a whole fish tail. he grew patches of scales on his body and ear fins. Though it seemed Carmen lost his divine powers and was now just one of the common merfolk that hid from humans. 

One day as he was trying to find a way to return back to the heavenly realms, Carmen's tail gets caught into some Pirate ship's net... Who could this pirate be? Carmen doesn't only get tangled with the nets but also with a sticky situation...Tous Droits Réservés

Merpeople and humans are still in both wars and well they conquered humanity was failed to breach out no escaped in the place was already a trapped for them some few fight back even Pirates want them exterminated.

But her people found out and condemned her, she was dethroned and cast out of the kingdom for doing the forbidden. Having no where else to go, she went above water (when above water Mer-people have legs but only those that have been to land know of this.) to live with the father of her child. In nine months she gave birth to a son who had legs she named him Sasuke and gave him to his father before going back to the ocean to try and reason with her people but she was captured and locked up. I asked slowly, my heartbeat had almost reduced to normal again but I was feeling a strange pull towards the creature in front of me. "I am a Merman and you are my mate." His voice was deep and sounded like music the way he spoke. But mate? "Mate?" I asked hoping to find out the way in which he directed this word. "My love," he paused looking into my hazel eyes.
