Industrial columns use equipment called "column internals" that interact and separate. Trays (previously known as plates) and packing are just two of the materials these columns use to do their jobs. In addition to many other industries, they are employed in the production of biofuels, energy, gas processing, petrochemical products, refining, wastewater treatment, and water wells.
