Blayr, a reserved student working in the school clinic, meets Ceres, a pale girl seeking medical attention. A conversation about cellos sparks an unexpected bond, leading to shared coffee, names revealed, and a mutual passion for composing music. They write an untitled song meant to soothe Ceres, who bravely opens up about her struggle with cystic fibrosis. Unknown to Ceres, Blayr also battles the same illness but hides it, fearing the emotional weight it might place on Ceres.
Defying medical advice to avoid close contact, the two grow inseparable, their connection deepening during a trip to Blayr's hometown in Lausanne, Switzerland. There, Blayr's health deteriorates without proper care, and she passes away, leaving behind their unfinished song. In her absence, Ceres names it "Fall," a tribute to the love Blayr was too afraid to confess.
As Ceres heals, she is haunted by the question. Did Blayr's love for her silently take her life?
