upcoming british artist oliver knowles, who's stage name is knowlz, is proposed an opportunity of flying out to the states to write his debut album with a few producers in los angeles, and is offered free five star accommodation for as long as he stays. whilst on his stay in the states, one of the main producers he works with, ryan tedder, unintentionally introduces him to his new infatuation;

tate becomes the light in oliver's life. oliver, coming from a broken family, coming from 'the streets', coming from poverty and selling drugs at only fifteen to fend for himself and his younger siblings whilst his mother dosed herself on all the drugs she could find, struggling without the presence of his father.
tate, coming from a stable family, with her parents both present, in oliver's eyes she was one of the 'snobs' who had everything. yet they both shared the struggle with mental health issues, oliver being diagnosed with bpd at the age of sixteen.

tate and oliver, whilst complete opposites both music wise and personality wise, find themselves in a year long situationship with more ups and downs than a roller coaster at thorpe park, yet both manage to find themselves collaborating on an album with songs written dedicated to each other and their situation.
