While the Poor seen in hoopies, thumbs up on the corner
Could we trade places?
Would it be better?
I think we are the same inside of the mind!!

People trying to reach and grab for yours
Saying you owe
Will you by me some more?
We are never happy.
Never Satisfied
We never lie
How much u pay for that watch?
Will you kill for it?
Would it be worth it?

Sometimes we fear truth over reality. But things get dark and heavy and we play the blame game. We end up hurting others or ourselves even. We don't think before we act or we don't say before we do. "You should have told me before that you weren't interested in me" I yelled at my so called husband Samad. Tears were rolling down my cheeks. "Jawariyah please try to understand" Samad said but this time I won't. "From two years only I am trying to understand..... Only I am the one who's compromising... Why not you?" I questioned him. You are angry I know, I know I was wrong, I did wrong, if you are mad then hit me, slap me, punch me, hurt me physically, I would bear that, but don't go away from me, it's hurting me internally. This book follows an African American boy as he wonders over into the white community something not usually done. Considering that during the year 1830's New York was severely divided into pocket communities helping keep the oppressed oppressed, since they would live in cramped apartment buildings with other families while the rich lived in manors. While the immigrants worked in factories the rich turned towards investments. Matthews~ (African American) 6 years old and on the street. I watch the other children get handed bread. I watch them get taken into the homes made for children like us. My clothes are tattered and torn. I go to bed underneath boxes or in garbage cans to stay warm. Annabelle~ 20 years old, the daughter of a noble getting ready for another social event. I walk with the other women who are ahead of me. They are giggling and talking about the recent engagements, the recent social gatherings, the recent investments that potential suitors have made, yet I am simply not interested. I would rather get a job. I want to get down and dirty. Daniel~ 21 years old, a nobleman that owns quite a few acres of land for farming. Father finally died. Leaving the estate to me. I will now be able to rent out the land instead of having father put outrageous buying prices on the damn property. No one can afford them in today's day in age. Not to mention that once the property is divided up into the sectors with their own little cottages we could have our own little self-sufficient economy if I play my cards right. Optimism in That 'Condition'
This is the story of many who think are alone and are left out. They feel abandoned and some are even despised. Good news; you are neither left out nor abandoned; we are in a different generation, where people have learn to embrace and love ‘us’. You are not alone in the fight; there is a great multitude in front of, at the back and beside you; so take courage. Having gone through this experience, I can testify that the people around me have really been there for me. I feel loved, especially my mum, who is my role model and my greatest inspiration. She has really molded me into being the kind of responsible person I am. I am thankful to her. So I welcome you to my adventure as an optimistic person. I believe that my story might change you and those around you. We all have one life to live and prove ourselves. We just need to step out and step up because the society needs us. Our economy needs us, the community needs us, the government needs us and the world needs us more. So we have no reason to stay in our ‘safe cocoons’. The future of our society is in our hands. It all starts with our optimism in the tough times we are experiencing. I am thankful to all those difficult people in my life; they have really shown me exactly who I do not want to be. Old Money Madness
One of his hands was snaked around my back while the other dragged up my spine into my hair. With one hard tug, my head fell backward and the shower water covered my face. Gasping for air I felt his mouth make its way around the base of my neck. The hot water was already making my skin hot, but having him so close in this way, made me feel like I should have combusted a long time ago. He jerked me back up to be facing him. "A kiss to the lips," I spoke blankly. My lips still parted in the manner he left me. I'm afraid to move in fear that my brain will forget the feeling. "And tell me again what that means River?" Older Brothers
Drama. Drama. Drama. That pretty much describes my life. I mean when your living with your 7 older brothers, 5 cousins, best friends, and a 3 month old baby, life can't get any better! And then there's school. Well school is school. Loaded with a the different 'groups' of kids. The geeks, popular, etc. And last but not least, my parents. We don't even know where they are most the time since they go on business trips after business trips. They come for for a week at the most and leave again. My family is not rich, but not poor. We have more than enough money to get the nice things we want, but we have to earn them. My life sounds pretty interesting huh?Concluida
