This is my first attempt at writing, and I have to admit, math always had my heart more than English ever did. But here I am, diving into the world of words. The story unfolds around a plus-size girl, whose vibrant personality shines brightly despite the insecurities she faces. She finds herself captivated by the charming receptionist at the local swimming pool, a place where the sun glistens off the water and laughter echoes in the air. As she navigates her feelings, the enchanting atmosphere of the pool becomes the backdrop for her evolving romance. Any feedback is greatly appreciated.

After her parents' divorce, Abigail is overcome with anger and frustration. Unexpectedly, a math teacher makes it her life's mission to help her out, and the two form an unusual friendship. As their bond deepens, Abigail unravels the challenges of Ms. Bennett's life: her relentless dedication to her work and her incapability to form any type of relationship have held her back from living at the fullest, and perhaps she should be saved from her own insecurities. While Abigail falls in love for the first time, she is torn between her first love and her unexplainable attraction to Ms. Bennett; they rely on each other to fight their battles, and have to decide whether their feelings are strong enough to follow them. "You did good," calmly stated Ms. Bennett, putting her hand on Abigail's thigh. "Look at that sunset," said an amazed Abby, staring at the sky changing color right in front of them. As if it was an obvious request, the two women got out of the car and placed the tablecloth on the grass, then lay down on it, with their attention completely drawn to the stars above their heads. While Abby was thinking about her hand accidentally yet not at all unwelcomed brushing against Ms. Bennett's, she was reflecting on how much the young girl had changed her life, putting her out of her misery and need to look for comfort in her work. "The moon is beautiful, isn't it?" Ms. Bennett murmured under her breath. English is not my first language so be patient with me :) As of February 2026, I am re writing this story to be more concise and clear. It will published on his own, so that those who enjoy this original version might still read it.
