Through the Fairy Ring

Detective Grace Hua finds herself on forced leave, retreating to the solitude of her late grandmother's countryside home. Struggling with her sense of purpose, Grace sought clarity in the surrounding woods - an unassuming forest her therapist recommended as a place to reconnect with nature and reclaim her peace of mind.

Among the gnarled trees and overgrown paths, Grace encounters a fairy ring, its presence the stuff of local folklore. She steps into the circle, dismissing the old wives' tales of portals to another world. When nothing around her changes, she shakes off the superstitions and heads back.

Only to find herself in an unfamiliar, enchanted landscape.

Gone is the quiet, sleepy countryside. In its place is a village bathed in twilight, inhabited by winged creatures and other strange beings that were straight out of children's fairy tale books. As Grace stumbles through this strange new world, her detective's instincts are piqued.

A murder has shaken the village, and suspicion looms heavily in the air.

Caught between two worlds, Grace must draw on her investigative prowess to solve a crime steeped in magic and illusion, where the truth is as elusive as the fae themselves.
