My name is Kara Danvers. When I was 13, I lost my parents in a tragic lab accident, but I was lucky enough to be adopted by the Danvers family. Now, at 16 and a junior in high school, I thrive in basketball, playing alongside my older sister, Alex. Despite the challenges I've faced in my past, I try to keep a positive outlook, which a lot of people seem to appreciate. However, there's one girl, Lena Luthor, who I've noticed since the first day of junior year. It feels like she dislikes me most of the time, except when we're at my house, where we share secret glances and enjoy hanging out with my friends. I didn't even know she existed until this year, but now I find myself drawn to her. I really wish she would open up to me at school, but she tends to keep her distance, especially after her run-in with her older brother, Lex. Still, I have a feeling she won't be able to ignore me for long since we're paired up as partners for our end-of-the-year project in AP Chemistry.
