When three girls decide to run away from a convent, they embark on a journey teaching themselves many skills and making many enemies. Through an unlikely chain of events, they end up in the 1400s when there are castles with the fictional kings and queens. How will the teenage girls survive ?
All characters and story line belong to me. If there are any over laps, I'm sorry. It's completely unintentional. The pictures I use are just representations of pictures and themes in the book. I glare at him, yanking at the bonds. He laughs softly. "Oh princess, you're so delicate. Do not struggle, we wouldn't want you to break, would we?" He whispers. I snarl at him but he's right, I'm sick and weak at the moment and the cold rain isn't helping matters. I turn away, coughing and choking on blood, but swallow it quickly, not wanting anyone to know my state. He smirks slightly. "Why are you so cruel?" I ask curious at his behavior. In the Castle I was kept away from the outside world by my parents, who told me of the dangers that lurk in it. However the servants and the cooks, who lived outside the protective wall of the Castle, always seemed like good people. "Cruel," he scuffs. "I am not cruel. Your kind is. Sitting in your castle, while families starve, homes burned to the ground because the blasted taxes are too high to pay. Cruelty, my dear Princess, is a word you and your family are all too familiar with." His words felt like a slap in the face. He can not be speaking truth. At 14 years old Valeria had been living on the streets to fend for herself for quite some time. One day she was caught stealing a valuable painting from madam Duvessa. The Madam owned half the city and ran a brothel with an iron fist. She saw the potential in Valeria and honed her abilities to suit her own gains. At 18 she was nothing but a shell of herself, her body was not her own and all hope long gone, until a former knight came along. He told her about an entire world waiting for them outside this kingdom. Together they escape Madam Duvessas hengemen and set out on a journey filled with magic, trouble and problems that will not be solved on their own. They will face challenges certain to bring out the worst parts of themselves, but will they be able to face them together? Or discover that certain things might be forgiven with time, but leaves a scar too painful to forget? This story contains scenes where the main character refers to a past where she was forced to be a sex worker. I wouldn't say the scenes are very graphic as for now (the first 5 chapters), but if it doesn't sit well with you I recommend reading with caution. Thank you:)
