His tasks included routine check-ups, emergency repairs, and even assisting with construction projects. Despite his programming, he developed a curiosity about the world and a desire to connect with others. 

Bowen got hurt while responding to a catastrophic malfunction at a power plant. During the incident, a surge caused equipment to fail, leading to a series of explosions. In his attempt to save other robots and stabilize the situation, he sustained severe damage from falling debris and electrical sparks.
