Lacey Anne Ferry grew up on a cattle ranch in Montana where riding horses was an everyday part of her life. She loved the horses, cattle, and the hard work that came with living on a working ranch. In the little free time that she had, Lacey rodeoed. When she wasn't running barrels, she was roping; when she wasn't roping, she was pole bending; when she wasn't pole bending, she was cutting...the list went on. Lacey Ferry was the one cowgirl that everyone wanted to beat. She was phenomenal at every rodeo event that she competed in. Everything that was familiar to Lacey came crashing down around her when a freak barrel racing accident left her paralyzed from the waist down...and terrified of horses. Two things that she never thought she'd be. Instead of being outside almost 24/7 like she was before her accident, Lacey now refuses to leave the house. The doctors say that Lacey will never be able to walk, rodeo, or even ride a horse ever again. New ranch hand, Chet Slade Reid, "Slade," sets out to show Lacey that that stuff doesn't really matter in the grand scheme of things. Can Slade help Lacey to get her confidence and love for horses back, or will her accident have left her too scarred to "get back on the horse" and "cowgirl up"? Slade was hired as a ranch hand, but as he sets out to help Lacey get the courage to ride again, he finds himself attracted to her. Despite his growing affection for her, Slade's dark past keeps him from telling Lacey his true feelings for her. Lacey sets aside her own insecurities to comfort Slade when a person from his past resurfaces. With God's help, will Slade and Lacey be able to live in the present but look forward to the future, or will they stay paralyzed in the past?

Together through thick and thin since senior infants, Tadgh and Lilibeth are inseparable. What happens when the truth comes out and all of their heavily packed trauma and secrets come out? Will their friendship survive? This is a slow burn. I think I'm going to make another book after this one, and they might not even get together in this book. If they do there will be NO SMUT. Tadgh and Lilibeth are 6-12 in this book, and i don't feel comfortable writing about that stuff when their minors, that being said, keep in mind that for this book Lilibeth and Tadgh are TWELVE. This book is based in 1999-2005, and they aren't 18 until 2011, so womp womp. Most of the storyline belongs entirely to Chloe Walsh, apart from Lilibeth's backstory. All characters apart from Lilibeth, Annalise, Adam and Lilibeth's parents also belong to Chloe Walsh. This whole story is fictional, and any resemblance to people in real life, living or dead, is entirely coincidental. There will be mentions of SA, domestic abuse, drugs, etc. If you don't like or are uncomfortable with the topic, I would not recommend this book. ʏᴏᴜʀ ᴍᴇɴᴛᴀʟ ʜᴇᴀʟᴛʜ ᴍᴀᴛᴛᴇʀꜱ. Not every blonde is stupid. In the South if you're a beautiful, blonde, blue-eyed girl high expectations are made. Either you're not extremely smart, so you find yourself a suitable husband to take care of you. Or you are smart and you just pretend to be dumb so you find yourself a suitable husband to take care of you. All her life Avery Skinner has been told what to do and how to do it- by everyone. By her mother, the girls she calls friends, the guys in school, teachers, family, even Mark the mailman. Needless to say, she's sick of it. Its time Avery took control of her life or at least get a firm grip on the sucker. She's loved football ever since she was a little girl. Yet she could never play because ladies aren't supposed to do such barbaric things. Especially in the South- unless its a rodeo and you're wearing those ridiculously tight outfits that show you're navel or showing you can hold your liquor. Avery has longed to be on the field, throwing the ball instead of cheering on the team her dad coaches that can't seem to win. Then her best friend Austin forces Avery to and for sometime everyone is fooled. But the truth can only be hidden for so long. The moment the townsfolk of Stonehenge, Alabama learned it was a girl under that helmet, was the moment true colors showed. It hasn't been easy and it won't get any better but Avery is here to play. * Avery is going to face REAL life problems, and not nice people. She's going to deal with sexual harassment, mean words, rude people, pregnancy, injuries, steroids, etc.. In this story I want to exemplify how sexist and cruel humans can be. There will be hard moments, but I want to put it out there because it IS a serious problem. Harsh language and such will be present. You have been warned, don't read it then complain.
