When 17 year old Rosslyn "Rose" Bell moves over 5,000 miles away from her home town to attend Buckingham University, she quickly learns that she has to try and fit in. She is one of the only African American kids in the school, which means she knows she won't be treated like everyone else born in England. Along the way, she meets new friends, a boy who she'd never imagine to care for so much, and learns to overcome personal trauma, all while finding herself out.
