Heidi Miller had it all. A loving family, a great husband and a child on the way; but then the world fell apart as a deadly virus took over, and she lost everything...almost everything. She stayed with her husband but their relationship was no longer the same. They still loved each other but they weren't as close as they once were.

But a certain fourteen year old girl comes into their lives and turns them upside down. They soon find themselves on a wild adventure across post-apocalyptic America in an attempt to save what was left of the human race.

But when you're stuck fighting your way through a post-apocalyptic world, nothing ever goes to plan. Especially as you venture further into the darkness.
