6/16/26 Status Update:

This story is officially on hiatus, NOT abandoned.

The culprit? Writer's block.

Admittedly, I only had the first three chapters written and loosely planned out when I published this story. At the time, I was excited about the idea and figured the rest would come together as I went.

Except that didn't happen.

Rather than force updates I'm not happy with, I'd rather place the story on hiatus until I can give it the attention it deserves. I still love these characters, and I still want to tell this story someday.

For now, though, I need to be honest and admit that I don't know when that day will be.
