Eli is witty, talkative and one of the best swordsmen in Battlescape - the online MMORPG he made his profession. He is also suffering, hurt by a string of betrayals that sometimes make it impossible to cling to any sense of normalcy or hopes for happiness, or at least connection.
But he is trying.
Enter Silver, a dashing pro player who can appreciate Eli's wit, match his game skills and quiet his anxiety. Silver looks like a perfect solution to all his troubles. But is he, though?
All will be well in the end, but it's the journey that matters.

Please mind the tags for trigger warnings, and be safe.

The story is somewhat completed (as in, I have further plot development planned, but it will be more of a "sequel" vibe). I am now translating it into English, having originally written it in Russian (also available in my profile).

"I want to help you." His bright eyes sparkle in the moonlight. "You can't help me! You hurt me!" By now, the tears I had been desperately trying to hold back finally slip out. "They hurt you!" As he yells, the anger in his voice eases out; his eyes are filled with familiar sadness. "I have nowhere else to go." I shoot back, taking a step away from him, afraid he will strike me as everyone else does. As soon as he notices this, his eyes widen, and his fists relax. "Come with me." He responds, hope gleaming in his eyes. I look up at the bright moon shining down on us as the breeze ruffles my hair. "Come with you?" I question. Just as he nods my dizziness takes over, sending me to the ground. His hands wrap around me, barely catching me. "Don't let them hurt me." I whisper, looking into his eyes, trying to not let the spinning world take me. "They won't hurt you anymore. Ever." ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Tivelly always seemed like the popular girl, always filling the room with her laughs and bright smiles. No one had noticed the excess of makeup that would occasionally be used to hide the bruises. The words "I love you" being foreign to her. Kaiden has always been one of the guys that her attention is always brought to. The heartthrob every girl wants, but no one ever gets. UPDATED WEEKLY He finally released my legs, allowing me to slide down his body until my feet hit the floor, but that was as far as he let me go. Heat was radiating off him scorching me all the way down my spine as he held me tightly against him. His quick breaths were falling on the back of my neck with a tingling warmth that brought goosebumps to the surface of my skin. Placing one large hand on my shoulder, he wrapped my long brown hair around his other. Gently, he tugged on my dark mane, pulling my head to the side and exposing the tender column of my neck. Bringing his nose down to the crook there, he inhaled deeply, a rumbling "mmmm" escaping his lips. My mouth went dry. "Are-" I swallowed. "Are you going to mark me?" I manage in a stuttered whisper. Eliona's War 1: Hesitant Healer

80 parts Complete

In which an introverted healer learns to deal with the greatest horrors of his life - socializing, dungeons, and psychopathic NPCs. Season 1 of Eliona's War *** Seth Veregin doesn't know the first thing about video games. But when he's gifted a beta copy of Eliona's War - a Virtual Reality online game that's the very first of its kind - he reluctantly gives it a try. Thus, Severance the healer is born. All he wants is to quietly explore on his own without having to deal with other people. Unfortunately for him, there's a few problems with that plan. Not only did he choose a class that's in high demand, but some players just won't take no for an answer. And the game NPCs? They definitely have a mind and an agenda of their own.
