When Izuku Midoriya first met All Might in person he was star-struck. But while he was zooming through the air, desperately searching for answers from his favorite hero. All Might shook him off his leg without thinking. Sending poor young Izuku plummeting back down to earth.
Miraculously, Izuku landed relatively safely and suffered no lasting injuries, physically at least.
Simply out of the pure discontentment of not having a quirk before he thought he would die. Izuku's split personality, Yamikumo Midoriya, was created.

This sets him down a dark path, one which leads in many directions. There are some who call him a Hero, but from (Y/n)'s perspective... Some would say he's the Anti. Falling (Depressed Deku Fanfic) (COMPLETE)
Ever since Izuku Midoriya joined U.A. High School and settled in, he knew that the League of Villains were after him and his quirk: One For All. However, when the time comes when Bakugo is the target and is only seconds away from being captured, Midoriya throws himself in the chaos and ends up saving Bakugo, only at the cost of his own safety as he is captured instead. Midoriya is brought back to the League of Villains' hideout and with him there, Shigaraki plans on changing the young boy's mindset and plans to use force against him. When Midoriya isn't able to escape for three years and no one can seem to find him, he begins to lose hope and his wounds only bleed more. Even when he goes back in time with the help of a pro hero's quirk, he is diagnosed with depression and struggles to go on through life. He doesn't feel like himself. He needs someone. He needs someone so badly. But what if there isn't anybody to help Midoriya? How will Midoriya cope when someone close to him dies right in his arms? Warning! This story will contain depression, suicide talk, torture (not explained explicitly), violence, and a whole lot of angst! Also, this story won't contain any ships. Midoriya Izuku has been set back further than any other point in his life. If All-Might says he cant be a Hero, what chance does he have? He has to give up and move forward. No matter the pain... An extensive knowledge of Heroes and their world has its uses elsewhere. However, can he truly abandon that need to be a Hero? Can he deny himself that? Or will he give to his compulsion?
