Y/N is having a pretty bad time if you ask her. Her loving and adoring master had passed away a month ago. She was the sole inheritor of all her master's stuff (which may sound great, but her master had a ton of stuff), so she had to find out where it should go. She also had to think about whether to continue the legacy of her master's teachings by passing it down again. If she does that, then who to choose? Plus, she had to think of whether she should even stay in Liyue.

She was born in Inazuma but moved here at a very young age. She still thinks of Inazuma as a second home, one she can always come back to. She has distant family there.

Not wanting to deal with any more stress than a 17-year-old should handle, she left for Inazuma. It was her way of escaping her current reality, even if just for a short while.

So it was really unfortunate that she didn't make it to Inazuma and fell off the boat instead.
