Welcome to Magnolia Academy, where privilege meets passion and secrets lurk behind every perfectly polished door.

Meet Alayna Baker, the academy's golden girl with a razor-sharp wit and a reputation that precedes her. The one who is untouchable and unbreakable. Or so everyone thinks. But even she isn't prepared for the storm brewing as a new school year begins.

Enter Isaac Blake, the storm in question. The kind of storm that slowly creeps in settles over until it takes away everything in it's path. It isn't what he wanted but when the sun is clouded, the storm is at it's worst. Or some would say Isaac at his best, finally getting what he has wanted for years.

"You know," Isaac's eyes darken as they look into mine, "A star doesn't fall unseen." His eyes were the kind of dark that held melancholy and regret.

"I know, Isaac." And for the first time, I realized the gravity of what I had done. "That's the tragedy of it all." After all, in Magnolia Academy, even roses have thorns. And the higher you climb, the farther you have to fall.

- "God Blake, you're a true enigma" Her eyes widened slightly at his words. "I don't understand" she claimed, backing up a step from him, which he had clearly noticed. And to her shock, he took a step forward, blocking the gap she had just created. "You seriously don't see what I was trying to do up there?!" he asked, almost in disbelief. "Do you have any idea how long I've been waiting to do that?!" she couldn't believe how loud he was suddenly. She had always known Lucian as a calm person with a soft, almost brooding voice that he never raised. Now it almost sounded excited, it was interesting seeing a new side of Lucian Black. - Something is happening at Cross Climb High-school Although it seems fairly normal, students going amongst their days unbeknownst to who they travel life beside. Blake Collins was forced to move schools, along with her four best friends. With her mother dead and her father in prison for attempting to murder her brother, she's in foster care, struggling every day with panic attacks and obsessive thoughts from a past of psychological damage. In her new school, she deals with not only her constant daily struggle to maintain normalcy, but also somehow becoming the director of the school play. Add a crush on the school's bad boy, Zac, who seems more interested in Stella, Blake's promiscuous best friend and also contending with another one of the school's popular boys, Lucian, chasing her constantly despite firmly keeping up her barriers. Everything seems fairly normal, at least at first. But, brewing nearby is a rage so intense that it's about to bubble over, and when strange things start happening around her, Blake can't help but fear the worst events will unfold and hope that it won't take the lives of those she loves along with her own. Be careful, because you never know what people are really thinking. - *Warning* Swear words, violence, thoughts of self harm, and spelling mistakes that I need to fix and I swear I will.

"Stop that." I jumped slightly as my eyes shot over to the familiar hulking form standing in the doorway of my bathroom. I always forget how tall Derek is until I'm standing right next to him. Or in this case in front of him. "Stop what?" my brows furrowed as I watched his reflection fully enter the room until he stood right behind me. His large hands rested on either side of me on the counter, trapping me between his arms. His chin hovered over my left shoulder as his forest eyes scanned my face in the mirror, his lips forming a small barely noticeable frown. But I noticed it. "Stop judging yourself." was his simple reply, but I know that something like that is easier said than done. "you're beautiful, red..." he leaned in further and I could feel his hard chest pressed against my back, making my insides do somersaults. "if you knew what I've done... the people I've hurt... you wouldn't think I was beautiful either..." ...... Alice Books has blood on her hands and doesn't believe she deserves a shot at redemption. A shot at love. Or a shot at life in general. What she did to have blood on her hands was out of self-defense and survival, but she doesn't see it that way and doubts she ever will... Until she meets the bad boy, Derek Wilder, who- underneath all the glares, tattoos, piercings, and leather jackets- is an absolute goofball. He sees Alice for all she's worth: Strong, beautiful, and not the cold-blooded murderer she likes to claim she is. He's determined to prove it to her no matter how long it takes- all the while fighting demons of his own. Will Alice continue to think she's the monster the voice in her head claims her to be? Or will Derek's demons ruin everything for everyone? ............... I will be uploading every MONDAY! ⚠️trigger warning⚠️ This story does contain ABUSE! so if that is something that you are not comfortable reading, I ask that you DO NOT READ! you have been warned...

"You're a spoiled, ungrateful brat." Asher snarled, turning around so suddenly that I nearly fell from the sheer momentum. His blue eyes blazed with an icy fire as they narrowed into slits. "Why are you so ignorant?" He took a large step towards me as his words rocketed around the room. I bit my trembling lip with all the strength in the world. No freaking way. Absolutely not. I refused to cry in front of him. "Can't you see that I care?" His tone so dangerously quiet, so very low. I pushed myself back further into the stony wall, hoping it would swallow me whole. "Is that not enough?" His eyes dropped to my lips, flickering back up as quickly as they had fallen. All I could see was him, all I could feel was him. He had captured every single one of my senses. And I hated it. He made me feel things that I sure as heck didn't deserve to feel. "To hell with the rest of them." He growled, "you're mine." ------- Ariella Gates is the daughter of one of the richest men in the world. As someone who is set to inherit billions, she's never had to lift a finger. Unfortunately, no one expected her 'beloved' daddy to die so soon. Thrown into a world of poverty, Asher Kent, a pessimistic yet handsome cleaner, reluctantly takes her under his wing. They say that opposites attract. Let's test that fictitious, romantical theory out. ----------------------- A bucketload of heart fluttering romance, a dash of tragedy and a hint of danger. INCLUDES SOME MENTION OF THE FOLLOWING TOPICS - violence, physical and emotional abuse, death, mental health and eating disorders. ----- A massive thanks to @june-writes for this amazing cover. A reflection. Do you like yours, love yours or hate yours? There's many people in this world who dislike theirs, not because of the physicality that they see in a mirror, but because they know what's lurking behind the eyes that stare. So much can be seen in yourself from your own pair of eyes, things that others don't seem to see. Do you know why that is? That's because no one knows you better than you know yourself. A pair of eyes could seem so kind, warm and innocent to the world, but only yourself could know the true darkness behind them. There's one person in this world who knows exactly what I'm talking about. He knows the infuriating, angering feeling of the painful suffering he experiences when his own eyes meet his reflection's. Deadly, severe, menacing: is what he sees. Everyone who looks into them simply see a bright pair of ocean eyes. Blue. That's all they see. But only himself knows he's drowning in the tidal waves of their deep ocean. And no one cares enough to notice, to help, or to save. Until her. She used to think fire was more murderous than ice. Little did she know, that would all change at first glance. She saw the eyes, she noticed their blue, she stared for a second too long, and now she knows that there's no going back. He'll claim her. ~If I take a step away from him, he takes a step closer to me. If I run, he'll find his way back.~ ~I'm trying my goddamned hardest to not act on the ache I'm feeling to place my lips on hers, just to have a little taste, because I don't want to appear as some sex-driven teenage boy who just wants to claim her body. Because I don't. I want to claim her heart.~ *Mature content: Strong language, aggressive behaviour, sexual content etc.* Note: Don't skip past the prologue. A bit of the dialogue or description in the first half of the book may seem slightly immature; I'll have to edit that when I get the chance. Started: 31/08/18 Completed: 02/04/19

"I'm going to find who did this to you." ***** One time, I was the most popular girl in school. All the students in Royal Heights, the school of the richest, knew me as the pretty Luna Klein, daughter of a famous superstar and a well-known billionaire. But the next thing I know, I'm an outcast. Just because of a complicated thing called love, everything turns 180 degrees. Now, I'm the girl that everyone hates. I've lost all my friends. I've lost my best friend. And I've lost the guy that I adore. All I can do now is to ignore the bullies and to survive each day quietly, hoping that I don't attract too much attention like before. Everyone in my school starts to call me loony Luna. Or lunatic, their favorite nickname. Then he suddenly arrives. Max Cooper, the new student who just got here from Australia. Insanely good-looking and smart, topped with his impressive family background, Max easily becomes everybody's favorite, especially the girls'. Disastrously, of all the other things he can pick, Max sets his eyes on the most forbidden and despised thing in Royal Heights. Me. Even though the whole school hates that idea. But pushing Max away is like trying to tame a wild lion that has just been released from its cage. Max is unstoppable. My mother once said that if a guy is really into you, he will pursue you no matter what. I think I know now how it feels. I just don't know how to handle my heart. Because every time his piercing eyes land on me, I feel like my heart is going to burst out of my chest. © 2021 Anya Jayvyn. All Rights Reserved.
