After spending eight years of her life in America, Mei Rancher is finally moving back to Japan with her mother and older brother to attend a very "special"elite school.
Having been enrolled to Ouran Academy, she meets her cousin cross dressing as a guy in order to pay off a debt she owes for a certain club. Out of love but mostly pity for her cousin she agrees to join the Host club. Renge, on the other hand, decided that the Host club shouldn't only entertain the girls but also the boys of this school.
Not only does Renge's plan save Mei from being the club's errand boy she also started a spark of romance in the group, specifically the tall and silent one.
