In the final days of peace on Cybertron, one warrior's destiny is forged in the fires of conflict. ShadowDread, a fearsome Triple-Changer with the ability to transform into both a jet and a tank, was bred for war but desires only the thrill of the hunt. Respected for his lethal precision and feared for his cold brutality, ShadowDread is a lone wolf-reluctant to lead but impossible to ignore.
Assigned to a covert hunting unit with two equally deadly allies-RazorSpine, a predatory beast-like specializing in stealth, and ShrikeClaw, a reckless aerial assassin-ShadowDread soon realizes that the brewing unrest on Cybertron is spiraling into a full-scale war. As the lines between friend and foe blur, ShadowDread is forced to choose between fighting for a fractured society or embracing the darkness within and becoming something far more dangerous: a Decepticon.
