After surviving a life-threatening bout of pneumonia, Fabienne embraces a return to normal life. Then the pandemic hits, triggering traumatic memories of her struggle to survive. Lockdown and social isolation promise safety, but cutting off physical contact with her friends and family threatens to send her anxiety spiraling out of control. She longs to reach out to her enigmatic roommate, Ryan, but doesn't want to impose. Since moving in several months earlier, he's kept to himself, devoting all his time to his mystery project and rarely leaving his room.
