Tapping the dim screen on the side of her neck, she slid gracefully into the water as her face-mask materialised around her. She filled her chest with the fresh oxygen and squeezed her toes. A sudden burst of water from her swim-jet thrust her forward, pushing her away from the shore. She glided and turned and flipped, using the sharp fins o her back and elbows to navigate the current. He face-mask gave her a full view of the barren sea floor. She closed her eyes for a moment a tried to imagine how it would have been hundreds of years ago. Teeming with fish a coral, colorful and filled with life. The water would be filled with whales' song, her favorite kind of music.
