Until I found you (Short story)

Siya is a 12-year-old girl, American-born, who has moved to India with her family a few years ago for her parents' business. She lives in a big house filled with luxuries, but the lavish surroundings feel empty. Her mom and dad are always busy, leaving little time for her, and her older brother, Keshav, who is two years older, often makes fun of her.

Despite being the kindest and sweetest soul, Siya has gained weight from the neglect, making her a target for bullying and body shaming at school. She has a thick crush on Dev, her classmate and family friend, but he, too, often joins in on the teasing.

The story takes a turn when she meets Vaasu.
