On a field trip to one of the Genetic Research Labs in New York, Alex was bitten by a radioactive DNA enhanced spider that got out of it's tank. When he discovered he had powers he started thinking that he could use them to help people like his mom. He created his first suit and decided on the name Scarlet Spider. But little does he know, that he will help more than the little people of New York. But the people of the entire Universe.
