This is not the main story but a demo.
This story is more likely to have spoilers for the main series, though they may not seem to follow the same sequence.
Delore is a battle-worn mercenary, haunted by a past filled with betrayal and bloodshed. His reputation as a cold, relentless warrior precedes him, yet beneath the hardened exterior lies a soul heavy with regret. Unbeknownst to him, he crosses paths with a young man-his estranged son-during a mission tied to a dangerous conspiracy. Manipulated by enemies who weave lies and deceit, Delore's attempts at redemption lead him down a tragic path, where every decision pulls him deeper into a web of mistrust and loss. As the truth slowly unravels, Delore must face his greatest challenge: reconciling his broken past with the fate of his son, all while enemies close in, exploiting his weakness for their own gain. Later along the line, he sees the same events play all over again. Who knows what fate has installed for Delore, the strongest mercenary.

It's a little story "about a young, dumb sankta who's been dealt a bad hand at life, looking for his place in all this mess. The pointless search for a better future leads him far, far away from home, to a country forever ravaged by war and misery - Kazdel, the promised land where devils roam free and peace feels out of place." A day like any other, turned to blood and misery in the blink of an eye. The soul devourers had been withheld for thousands of years, the residents beyond Riverin's walls growing comfortable. Their ignorance could be their downfall as everything crumbles. Even the veterans aren't prepared for an assault, underestimating their opponent. Carnade, born to another land, has found a home in Riverin. He's always known how great a threat the devourers were, but he never thought their first strike would be Riverin. Now he has to choose between protecting his family or the people he swore himself to. Derosai was born and raised in Riverin, dedicating her life to abolishing the soul devourer race from the face of Alatine. Everything she worked toward. Everything her and her husband planned could be torn away. Her husband believes their son to be the key to ending the devourer blight and if he perishes, there won't be anyone to stop the second dark war. Alithium was born to another world, frozen and far from Riverin. Nothing Ever Lasts (Rewrite Demo)
A new take on the first novel of the Anti-Hero story line, with updated and polished writing. Expanding and rewriting the story along with adding never before scenes and characterizations with most of the original story beats along the way. This is not the official canon novel, however I'd like to think of it as an alternative universe. You might recognize some things, and see new ones as well. This is also a test for the audience to see how my writing has improved over the years. See which one does best. This is a demo, and will only be up to eight chapters before the main plot of the story unfolds. So if this gets enough traction and if people like this version more, then I'll continue writing it and make this one the canon version instead. (Book 1 in the 'Blood Drops' series) Five drops for the vampires who drink it. Four for the creatures who relish in it. Three for the strong who take it. Two for the weak who cower from it. One for the humans from whom it is taken. *** This book, along with all the others in this series, was written in a manic creative frenzy when I was about 11-12 years old. I do not consider it quality work, nor do I find it representative of my writing skills today. I will not take it down, because it is still fairly popular and I enjoy reflecting upon how I have developed my writing over the years. Adrenaline pumped in my veins as I pressed myself against the large tree trunk, hoping the darkness would conceal me from my impending doom. My heart hammered against my ribs and cold sweat gathered at my palms and chest. His armor clanked and clinked, scraping against itself as he grew closer and closer... Then silence. "Come out little rabbit." The voice was deep and menacing, and I would've soiled myself right there if I were any younger. I couldn't see very well, but I could see what little moonlight that filtered through the trees reflected off a pale face. His gaze was like a hungry, crazed wolf hunting its prey. I fell in love with Hansel seven years ago. I fell in love with a side of him that was sweet, caring, persistent and loving. He taught me what it felt like to be human, what it meant to love someone with all your being. And then he came: Klaus. He's declared war three years earlier than we predicted and it's forced Hansel and I to do the one thing we promised not to do: separate. We both joined the GUARDIANS in order to help, but in a desperate attempt to find where Klaus will open his portal and begin the war, Hansel gave up the one thing that was most precious to him: his memories of us.
