Rinfrancato dal successo nel derby dopo sei ko consecutivi, il Milan alle 20.45 ospita al Meazza il Lecce nell'anticipo della 6ª giornata del campionato di Serie A. La vittoria contro i campioni d'Italia in carica ha ridato entusiamo ai rossoneri che ora guardando alla stagione con maggior ottimismo. Un successo contro i salentini permetterebbe al Diavolo di agganciare momentaneamente il Torino e balzare in vetta alla classifica almeno per un notte. 

La formazione di Paulo Fonseca, ora un po' meno in discussione, martedì andrà a Leverkusen per sfidare il Bayer di Xabi Alonso nel secondo turno della nuova Champions League: in virtà del ko interno all'esordio contro il Liverpool, fare risultato contro i campioni di Germania sarà importantissimo. Intanto, stasera, dall'altro lato del campo ci sarà un Lecce reduce dal pareggio choc contro il Parma al Via del Mare: avanti 2-0 fino al 93', i salentini si sono fatti riprendere nel giro di due minuti. Per i giallorossi di Luca Gotti è comunque il terzo risultato utile consecutivo dopo il successo tra le mura amiche contro il Cagliari firmato Krstovic e lo 0-0 all'Olimpico Grande Torino contro i granata di Paolo Vanoli.
