In a land of dragons, myths, and magic, the fate of the Seven Kingdoms rests upon the shoulders of a young girl, Daenerys Targaryen.

In the wake of the flames of the past, the House of the Dragon has become an extinct dynasty, mired in chaos like a bittersweet shadow. This turmoil has elevated the standing of House Pendragon, the lesser descendants of Old Valyria, who have staked their rightful claim with iron and blood.

When Viserys Targaryen ascends the Iron Throne, Uther Pendragon becomes his Hand. But under Uther's influence, the king becomes cruel, ordering the death of his brother, Marcus. War ensues, and King's Landing is sacked as the Iron Throne is swiftly usurped.

Viserys flees with his family to Pentos. House Velaryon bends the knee, swearing allegiance to the Usurper King, along with other Great Houses. Uther's revolt sweeps across Westeros, ending the chaos and giving rise to a new dawn of peace and prosperity.

Following the assassination of her brother, Baelon II Targaryen, Daenerys returns to Westeros in disguise, adopting the name Daela of Braavos. Consumed by revenge and hatred toward the royal family, her fate becomes entwined with that of Prince Arthur Pendragon, the next in line to the throne. However, his claim is contested by foes-both evil and familial, as well as enemies within the realm.

As Daenerys (Daela) navigates the treacherous political games of court, she faces betrayal, death, sorcery, illicit affairs, scandals, and love triangles. To secure her claim to the Iron Throne, she must protect those she loves and fight against the rivalries at court.

The two valyrian will become inseparable, but as secrets and truths unfold, Daenerys (Daela) must find a way to maintain her position and restore the ancient strength of House Targaryen. She must also prevent the prophecies of Aegon's dreams from coming true stopping the rise of the White Walkers and averting the Dance of Dragons.

The younger sister of Daenarys Targaryen, Alyssays (Aly) was born at the end of Roberts rebellion, just hours before she and her siblings had to be smuggled out of Dragonstone for fear of their lives and losing their mother in an early birth that kept the small princess sickly throughout most of their childhood. Her brother resented her for the loss of their mother but was fiercely jealous and possessive of her. Dany was her most fervent protector and the only thing she ever defied her brother about was his treatment of Aly. Her childhood had been spent in hiding and fear across the narrow sea, but like Targaryen seers in the past her dreams were full of visions that always came to pass. The one she had been having as long as she could remember were of a boy. Black curls and dark brown eyes that always seemed sad, she knew he was real because as she had grown so had the images, she had seen of him. She knows he is somehow tied to her destiny, but only the game of thrones will reveal how. Expanded description in the first Chapter. This will be a SLOW BURN! The main characters will not meet in person for quite a while but once they do I promise heat. I do write smut so if that not your thing those chapters will be marked. The Blackfyres and Targaryens have fought many times against each other for the Iron Throne. Maelys Blackfyre was the last one to try and conquer the Iron Throne during the War of the Ninepenny Kings. Daemon, his cousin, was also killed by Maelys in order to get control of the Golden Company. Unbeknownst to Maelys, Daemon had a son called Aegon. Aegon fled after seeing his father being murdered and set out to travel among the Free Cities of Essos. After a few years of mercenary work, he settled near Volantis and started a family. Now his daughter, Visenya Blackfyre, is going on a journey that will change Westeros and Essos for generations. ~ I do not own Game of Thrones or any of the characters except my own~ I like to thank bobissocool11 for creating his book 'A Dragon's Flame'. It inspired me to write this story and it may have some overlap with that story. I highly recommend you read his/her story. Lastely, this is my first story ever. I hope you will enjoy it. The competition that this book was part of was FANATIC AWARDS. It got second place. The competition only consisted of three books, so take from it what you will.
