There once was a girl, Who had the heart of gold. But then something interesting happened, And she became cold. Belle was known to be the most beautiful girl in all of the Village. She had the heart of gold and was so caring when it came to other people. All the Villagers knew and respected her and her father, Maurice. But then one day, Belle woke up as someone new - someone the Villagers and her father didn't know. She became isolated and cold-hearted, having no concern for others but herself. Maurice searched far and wide for someone who had the ability to bring his daughter back, but no one would dare go near her. After many years of selfish deeds and wants, she became known as the Beast. [ 2017 ]

A castle looms in the twisted woods, guarded by bloodthirsty wolves. The castle shudders in the night. Strange people turn to household objects. Frozen forever. A beast prowls the west tower alone and confused around a glass vase holding a rose, its pedals dead around the delicate stem. Eternal winter freezes it's walls. Beauty and the Beast. Belle and Rumplestilskin. A tale as old as time. This is the story of how a brave woman came to love an ugly man beginning with they're days in the Dark Castle and how against all odds they never stopped fighting for each other. Because the few flashbacks we got were not nearly enough nor were the few episodes focusing on them. Diverges from canon around Belle's imprisonment. I don't own Once Upon a Time it's plots, or characters.

This is a story as old as time. We think we know the story but do we really?

Tale as old as time, a Beast hidden away from the world attracts the attention of a Beauty. The attention of one who cared more of others than them self, even if they held a little darkness in their heart. But not all Beasts are horrifying... Some are a even considered to be angelic.
