The Beauty of Sunshine

I've always been the serious and calm type. People admire me, and only few know I come from a rich family.

My best friend is Amara Skye. She's warm and cheerful, and we've been close since high school till college, we laugh and study together.

"Just tell her you love her," Finn said for million times now. But I can't. "It's complicated."

But then everything change. Bago pa malaman ni Skye lahat, Naunahan na sya ng mga magulang nya. "You need to go abroad. It's for Amara's own good," they say. My heart breaks, I can fight them.

Alam kong maraming paraan papano sila pwersahin, I have all it takes to force them to agree, But in the end I lose, she values them, a million times than me,

So I was left with no choice but to leave for abroad.

I think maybe being far away will also help me forget her.

In my new country, I work hard to start a company. I stay busy, hoping success will help me forget Skye. "I'll just keep working," I tell myself late at night. But no matter what I do, I can't stop thinking about her.

Five years go by, and I hear about Skye's new life. She's dating a man her parents like, and it hurts me. "Why can't I let her go?" I said in a desperate tone. Even with all of my success, all I felt is emptiness.
