Chains of the Void is a dark, dungeon fantasy novel set in a world where the veil between reality and an ancient abyss, known as the Void, has begun to unravel. Centuries ago, sorcerers attempted to wield the chaotic power of the Void, unleashing horrors that nearly consumed the world. The story follows Calen Drayke, a young mage marked by the Void since childhood, cursed with a dark sigil that slowly eats away at his soul. His only hope lies in a mysterious woman who offers him a perilous bargain: break the Chains of the Void and release the ancient powers sealed within. In return, Calen could gain the ability to control the Void's influence before it consumes him entirely.

As Calen journeys deeper into the heart of the forgotten dungeons, he is confronted by twisted creatures and tormented sorcerers, their minds shattered by centuries of imprisonment. Along the way, he begins to unravel the truth about the Void, the cursed magic of the chains, and the prophecy that marks him as either the world's destroyer or its savior.

Displeased with the finished product, I began to rewrite it here, starting June 2015, then again in 2020. I am quite satisfied with the result, and am sure this will be the final edition. This isn't the first book of the series, but there's no spoilers for 'The World is Larger than it Seems', so you can start on this one. The story is far from finished, however, and I hope to eventually finish the series.
