A young girl by the name of Krystal finds herself on the brink of collapse, being bombarded by hardships as far back as she can remember. a smart, yet innocent girl for her age is never given a chance to blossom into a productive woman, instead struggling to survive.
That is until Aldous Calihan enters the fray. kind, caring and nurturing, Aldous takes her under his wing, doing his best to restore her broken body as well as her spirit, forming a powerful bond between them.
however he is not alone. His alter Richard, now known as Mister Beta has awoken from dormancy. crafty and patient Beta lies in wait for the perfect opportunity to strike to once again claim his "rightful" place as the new host.
will Krystal ever find her place in a world hellbent on tearing her apart? will Aldous overcome the challenges and make a strong, independent woman out of her? or will Beta succeed in surpassing Aldous for control?
