After spending a good chunk of their childhood fighting dragons, aliens, and the like for the greater good, Max decided to go into a universe where they don't exist in an attempt to have some semblance of a normal teenage life.
If only they'd known how just much life likes to mess with them and their family.

Two people fall in love in unlikely circumstances. They have a lot of psychological issues and mistrusts in the order of things to prevent them from finding themselves and each other. I am a reader of crime novels and hard science fiction almost exclusively, and yet this story, which I have been writing for a long time, is a love story, I can't explain it even to myself. The characters will have to work through hardship and evolve to be able to surrender to the magical things around them and the flow of the universe and the love of other people. I gotta say, why would you believe something that was written and altered by humans from outside? Would you even put your trust on the person who doesn't let you out unless he wants you to?
