Maya is almost an adult. She is expected to undergo the 'coming-of-age' ritual of defeating the monster under her bed. After watching her once vibrant sister becoming a lifeless shell from the ceremony, Maya begins to question everything. A couple of days before her own ceremony, she receives a warning from an unlikely source, confirming her worst fears and more.
