Mature
Samantha Calloway's quiet life with her distant mother begins to unravel the night a scarred stranger knocks at the door, asking for help. His presence feels wrong, unsettling-and soon after, a series of strange events unfolds in her sleepy town. When a local boy goes missing, and then his body is found less than a day later, tension grips the community, but for Samantha, something even more terrifying lurks closer to home. A name is mysteriously carved into her door, linking her to a decades-old abduction. As Samantha digs deeper, she uncovers shocking secrets: the woman she calls 'Mum' might not be her real family, and the scarred stranger may hold the key to her true identity. But amidst it all, a dangerous killer is hiding in plain sight, and Samantha must race to uncover the truth before more lives are lost.

WARNING: violence, physical/domestic abuse, kidnapping, torture, murder, language. This is a story about a young girl who was trying to make it in the Hollywood industry by working on movie sets in a clean up crew. She eventually catches the eye of a well known movie producer and is in bliss until she learns what he's really doing on those late nights at work. In fear of her life she tries to make a run for it but is stopped by the producer and held against her will. One night she fights hard enough to get away but just when she thought she was safe... she learned she was wrong. (This is the first story I've shared over any type of platform. I guess I'm hoping for feedback - good and/or bad, to decide if I want to make it a continuous story or just end it soon.) **** Finished Oct2020.
