Maze Runner fanfiction here ! For those of you who read Crank Palace, you know Newt finds a notebook and a pen and decides to write about his feelings as the Flare grows within him. Well this fic is what I imagine would be Newt's journal, but ✨make it Newtmas✨ 

TW : in this fic Newt is dealing with depression and dark thoughts. Since this is mostly canon relevant, it doesn't end well and it doesn't show hope of him getting better. Be careful not to read something that makes you feel down and to stop if it feels too much to take. Take care of yourself. You matter so much 🤍

Little disclaimer : English is not my first language ! But if I'm being honest I like English more than my native language and I like a challenge, so I wrote this. I read and corrected each chapter multiple times trying to get rid of mistakes but I know there will inevitably be some left, so I apologise in advance for them :) do not hesitate to correct me in the comments if you feel like it (please be nice though *sad hamster meme* )

In this fanfic, Newt and Cara are already in a relationship but their situation threatens to pull them apart. Will their love stand the trials brought about by a dying world? Short Summary Newt, Cara, and the rest of the group are rescued from the maze. Cara is given her memories back right before her, Newt and the group escape the WICKED facility. Her loyalty to her friends wavers but she soon realizes that she no longer wants to work for WICKED despite Teresa trying to convince her otherwise. They try to escape the grasp of WICKED as they make their way through the Scorch in search of the Right Arm.
