I, America, exist for one reason. Freedom. Freedom where all can do as they please. That was my purpose - to guide everyone into shining liberty. My problem was Soviet. I was sure I could beat him, but I got too invested. In my quest for freedom, I ended up chained in a cold war. Even after Soviet died, his son, Russia, took his place. Russia was just like his father, with the same cold eyes and rough voice, it was like Soviet never left. His hatred for me was relentless. The only time he ever had anything in his eyes other than hate when he looked at me was 9/11. After that, everything changed. My mask began to slip. The fighting, diplomacy, the constant hate wore on me. Russia hated me, but he was starting to see the chips in my mask, the tears behind my smile, the long nights. It was harder every day to pretend I cared. No one else noticed but him. He was on my case and seemed obsessed with me. I was a fool to think I could stop him from uncovering the truth. I, Russia, exist for one reason. To continue my father's work - to spread communism and make everyone equal, that was my purpose. All we wanted was for all to be equal. One problem was America. We were certain we could beat him, but we got too invested. In our quest for equality, we got lost in a cold war for superiority. Even after father died, I took his place. I tried to be like father, to stay true to our dream. America never changed. He had the same grin and stupid sunglasses, acting like nothing changed. His arrogance drove me crazy. The only time he was quiet was 9/11. Things were never the same. I began to notice how the fighting, the diplomacy, and the constant hate, were wearing on him. I still hated him, but for the first time, I saw the cracks - his smile looked almost forced and he seemed exhausted. It bothered me that no one else noticed and I found myself growing strangely concerned. I was going to get to the bottom of it, and America was a fool to think he could stop me. cov. by angie art

//I'm not the best at writing, so the stories will not be the best, of course. I also don't get motivation a lot, so please keep it in mind, just in case you wonder when will be the next time I publish a story.// Cover Picture was edited by me, I got the picture of the dog from the internet. |||Gender Neutral reader.
