Wilting

Zephrow is a contract killer trying to get out of his home state of Ohio and get to bigger and better things. In Ohio, people are always talking about who they hate and what they'd do to them but they don't act on it, not good for someone who makes a living off of killing. He has big plans to climb up the ladder in this field but it's hard to do when no one wants to hire you. His roommate was in the same business but when he slowed down to run a coffee shop/ bakery Zephrow became a lone wolf of sorts. Zephrow moved to New York where foot traffic for semi-legal murder was higher, much to his roommate's dismay. He is living with an old friend and is living his best life with a new friend group and a possible new love on the horizon when he realizes someone is stalking him. No, not stalking, hunting. He was being hunted in the way he hunted others, to find the right time to go for the kill. What will Zephrow do when his past comes back to hunt him and puts his new life and his new friends in danger? Who called the hit that made his bright new future go dark? And will he be able to stop them before they hurt someone he loves?
