Evthys is a young student who studies Egyptology. She and her classmate, along with their professor, went to the Valley of the Kings to participate in their activities. When Evthys and her classmate were inside the tomb of Pharaoh Tut, she saw a mysterious gold bracelet and picked it up. Full of curiosity, she put it on her hand. At first, it felt normal, but when she was about to take it off, the bracelet wouldn't slide off her hand as if it were stuck like glue.

With no choice left, she hid her hand so no one would see her wearing an ancient bracelet on her wrist. When it was time to explore the other temple, her friends were nowhere to be seen. She started to look for them until she reached the Nile. There, she saw Dia and Ramesess. She decided to join them, and both of her friends wanted her to ride the boat. So she rode along, having fun, but suddenly the boat flipped her over, and she fell into the water. Evthys struggled to swim but was mysteriously pulled down into the water and began to drown.

Evthys struggled underwater and fought to get back up when, all of a sudden, the bracelet glowed underwater while Evthys felt herself slowly rising. When she was out of the water, she wiped the water from her face and coughed. Evthys felt something on her neck, and when she looked up, she was shocked to see a bunch of men pointing a spear right at her.

Keeta was born at the beginning of the Middle Kingdom of Egypt. She was the only daughter of a nobleman that barely made it through. When she turned sixteen years old, her parents gave her to the temples so that maybe one day she could become a powerful priestess and bring good fortune to their family. Keeta didn't mind. Four years into her studies she was noticed by a young man. It was different for her. Never before had any man taken notice of her. He showered her with gifts and rare desert flowers. She wondered why he was so persistent about her even though she was training to become a priestess. Then God Set killed his brother Osiris and his brother's son Horus was out for revenge. Chaos reined down on the mortal plains. The Goddess Isis protected those within her temple the best she could but some worshippers perished due to Set's wrath. All save her. The man that had such affection towards her returned just before the final battle. With everything happening, Keeta didn't realize that the man was actually Set until Isis appeared after he kissed her and revealed him. Isis felt Keeta betrayed her by sleeping with the man who killed her husband. Before Set could stop her, Isis branded Keeta with the Symbol of Eternal Life cursing her. After, Horus banned Set to the Red Desert and for over a century that's where he remained. Keeta walked amongst the mortals and watched as they all perished as she remained the same. It wasn't until after Set was free of the desert did the truth finally come out and by then it was too late. Isis couldn't reverse the curse. Isis then gifted her with an Anubis pup. Amis, the grandson of Set. He aged the same as any God but preferred the look of a pup unless Keeta was in trouble. Then he took on the look of his father along with the powers that came with his full grown self. When he wasn't protecting Keeta, he was often found on his cushy pillow dreaming of sweet donuts.

Highest ranked- #10 in action 2/16/2017 A promotion. That's all I wanted. I didn't want to run for my life. I didn't want to be kidnapped. I didn't want to face death. I didn't want to find out my whole life was a lie. I just wanted a bloody promotion. Guess fate had other plans? **** The cold air fanned over my face as I opened the door. The exit door lead to the back of the building so it was pitch black. I leaned against the wall trying to control myself. Blood was running down my arm and head. My hair was stuck to my face from all the sweat and blood. Everything was spinning around me and the ground seemed like it was shaking. Groaning I sat down and put my head on my knees. He knows who I am. He knows how I look like. He knows where I work so possible knows where I live. I am not safe anymore... no where. While I was in my own world I heard faint sounds behind me but I didn't bother to look or run away. The footsteps got closer and I was pretty sure it was Walker's men. I should run. I should try to fight. But what's the point in trying to run away? He would eventually find me and if he has his way he would most likely kill me. If this is my fate then why am I trying to fight it? I felt someone harshly grab my waist and pull me up and I complied. They dragged me down the alley and into the busy street. I heard the opening of a car and the next thing I knew I was being thrown into a car. My head hit the hard leather seat and the door shut behind me. Maybe this is how my life will end. Maybe I should just let it happen. Maybe I was destined to die alone as a no one. With that I let the darkness consume me.

For many years rumors have persisted that there are caches of gold, precious stones, and unguents that tomb robbers had dropped or hidden in their haste to escape the guards that watched over the Valley of the Kings. Roma Wilkes-Emberly thinks her father believes these rumors are true and is determined to find them. Ardeth-Bey is the son of a sheikh of a Bedouin tribe who are descended from the Med-Jai who guarded the Valley of the Kings. He is friends with Wilkes-Emberly and his daughter Roma. Roma does not like Ardeth Bey, though she grew up with him, she finds him overconfident and arrogant. The fact that he is handsome only makes it worse. Wilkes-Emberly has asked Ardeth for his help. He wishes him to accompany his daughter through the desert on a secret errand. Neither Ardeth nor Roma is eager to do this, but her father is both evasive and persistent. Ardeth agrees, but on the condition that they will catch the boat at Minya for the remainder of the journey to Cairo. Roma knows that something is wrong and she suspects that they will be transporting something valuable and will be a target for thieves--or worse. I am proud to announce that based on my writing of this story I have received a commission from an internet jewelry site to write an Egyptian/Atlantis-themed story about Howard Carter and his discovery of the "Atlantis Ring". And I am being paid well for it--eat your hearts out!!!! This story has been appearing in Top Picks! Also has been appearing in "We'll Think You Enjoy"
