"Not everyone is who they seem to be, Eria." Alex said softly. 
I turned to glare at him. "Maybe not, but I am a hundred percent sure that my mother isn't the monster he claims her to be." 
Alex's eyes narrowed. "I didn't know her personality, but she was." 
      "You didn't know her at all!" I shout. I pull the diary closer to my chest. "She wasn't a monster, because if she was that would mean I am too." I lower my eyes to the ground. 
Alex puts a hand on my back softly. "You're only a monster if you chose to be, Eria." Alex says softly. "And from what I've seen of you, you're no monster."
