In the bustling city streets, Sophia wandered, her footsteps heavy with fatigue and hunger. She was just sixteen, but life had already shown her its cruel face when her family lost their home months earlier. Now, she was forced to fend for herself, scavenging for food in trash cans to survive. One fateful night, y/n, a kind-hearted artist/musician/hippie, noticed Sophia rummaging through the garbage. Compassion filled y/n's heart as they listened to Sophia's heartbreaking story. Without a second thought, y/n reached out a hand and offered Sophia a second chance. Taking Sophia in, y/n provided her with a safe haven, a warm bed, and nourishing meals. It was a refuge from the harsh reality of the streets, a sanctuary filled with music, art, and kindness. For the first time in months, Sophia felt a glimmer of hope flicker within her heart. Together, y/n and Sophia embarked on a journey of healing and discovery. They painted murals on city walls, played music in the park, and danced under the starlit sky. Each day brought new adventures and experiences, filling their souls with joy and laughter. As the days turned into weeks, Sophia's resilience and strength shone brightly. With y/n's guidance and support, she began to believe in herself again, to dream of a brighter future beyond the shadows of her past. The bond between them grew stronger, a bond forged in compassion and love. And so, Sophia's second chance became a story of redemption and renewal, a testament to the power of empathy and kindness. With y/n by her side, she knew that no matter what challenges lay ahead, she would always have a home, a family, and a friend who believed in her.

[01/07/2021] - [13/04/2023] "You can't keep going around like a fucking maniac and treating me like shit. That isn't how relationships work," Sophia's voice was havoc as she verbalized her emotions. "That isn't how we work..." Tired, vulnerable and agitated at not only him, but herself. How could she let herself get this far, in such little time? He looked down, ashamed, not wanting to respond. His heart felt like it was beating faster than it should've. "I forgot how it felt to love you." As soon as those words were uttered from Sophia's lips, his world broke apart. Gone, in just a matter of seconds. - - - When Sophia Adam moves to a new town, she wishes nothing more than a boring, new life, to separate herself from her past. Moving meant completing university and getting a clerkship with a judge. Moving meant making refreshing new friends, and meeting a mysterious guy that seems hell-bent on getting to know her. To Sophia, moving to a new town was everything she imagined and more. She just didn't expect her past to follow.
