No way out

A boy stood at the edge of the balcony, peering down at the floor beneath him. He knew all it would take was a single step to end all of this.

End the pain. End the struggle. Just as he was about to take a step off the edge, he felt hands wrap themselves around his waist, ripping him away from the edge.

"How dare you even try to escape us in this way..." A deep voice said him.

Though the voice seemed quiet and calm, the boy knew better. Another voice made its way into his ears.

"You should know that even if you succeeded in your pathetic attempt at escaping us, we would do everything in our power to be with you even in death."
