When someone turns 18 they get a letter from a soon to be deceased or deceased relative, they can't do anything to stop it.
Every birthday after the persons 18th, they will continue getting letters from the same person.
If the person has yet to die then they will die within the span of a week after, the letter will be sent by their future dead self to.
The dead person cannot send details on their death.
Today, Nightmare was finally turning 18, he was overjoyed!
