The Raven and the Wolf: Beginnings
Ravens flock. Wolves run in packs. Yet sometimes, across the boundaries of species, a lone raven and a lone wolf choose each other - and something enduring is born. Corvina Umbrae and Akane Mochizuki are no different.
Nine-year-old Corvina is all velvet gloves and quiet power, an heiress born into shadows - a princess among the elite children of St. Valerian's Academy. There, she notices Akane: a sharp-tongued transfer student who doesn't know how to bow.
Their first encounters spark tension, mistrust, and curiosity. Yet little by little, something fragile begins to form between them. Corvina, trained to wear a flawless mask, and Akane, branded feral and unwanted, find in each other what the world has denied them: honesty, loyalty, and understanding.
They shouldn't belong together. But their friendship is rebellion in a world of silence and masks, and a bond that will shape the rest of their lives.
