I did look for a writing challenge to follow but didn't find anything that intrigued me. The reader is be 15, turning 16 soon. (Girl Readers for the most part.) She lives with her abusive mother, who is addicted to alcohol and heroin (dark, I know.) Often coming home in paranoia, the reader is afraid of what is to come when she gets home from school. One chilly Fall afternoon, (Y/N) comes home to see a large basket on the kitchen table. Seeing that her mother isn't home, (Y/N) goes to the basket, seeing 3 babies inside, each having tiny clothes on, with.... Wings behind their backs?! Terrified, (Y/N) is conflicted on what to do next. (Picks up in chapter 1.) Occasionally I will do a one shot or something that pulls away from the story line.
