Five minutes into Eddie Diaz's first college class, someone sits next to him, and he can feel things change. He ignores it at first, but those blue eyes pull him in. Once he realizes how things have changed, he has to find out what it means for him, and find out how to tell his wife.
Evan Buckley just ran from home along with his big sister. He thought he knew what it felt like to make new friends; what it was like to truly care for someone, but meeting Eddie Diaz changes that entirely.
Maddie Buckley is still trying to figure out how to tell her brother the whole story. The whole story about her and Doug, and the whole story about their childhood, all while slowly falling in love with the hot firefighter who lives the floor below them.

-or-

Buck and Maddie recently moved to LA to get away from their family (and Doug) in Pennsylvania. Eddie and Shannon have recently made a similar decision.

Buck find's a new hobby and Eddie is going insane. Buck was beginning to split his time between fire fighter life and life with the Diaz's. It shouldn't drive him crazy and it shouldn't affect him like this. Buck was just his best friend - his partner. He wasn't his boy friend. And he wasn't far he was always there if he needed him. So if he needed some time away. He would take it like a big boy.
