Liora lost herself after her life took a turn for the worst. She ran away from her home realm of Asgard as a result, but things only escalated.
Loki lost more than just a friend the day she left. He lost his twin flame. Everything went downhill from the moment he was separated from her, and they would continue to be separated until he made it across the rainbow bridge.
He doesn't know where she is, or if she is even still alive. He had a gut feeling that they would be reunited, and would do everything in his power to make sure that they did.
